Oct. 3rd, 2005:
Visibility at Rockdale and
Kempton - Over 100 Supporters Lead
Hundreds of New Bedford Residents in
a Car Horn Honkin' Rally!
Morrissey supporters showed up
in force at a visibility on Monday
Oct. 3rd at the intersection of
Rockdale and Kempton. A count of
supporters at about 5 PM showed over
100 people present with Matt
Morrissey.
City buses, fire engines,
police cars and everyday citizens
all pitched in for a two hour long
"HONK FEST" as both an expression of
their frustration with the current
administration and a "thumbs up" to
Matt Morrissey in his candidacy for
the Mayor's Office.
If the car horn blasts had been
counted they would easily have been
in the thousands as enthusiastic
members of the public honked and
shouted for change - change for the
better for everyone in New Bedford
with a Morrissey administration in
office. The event was a spectacular
demonstration of a desire for new
leadership
from New Bedford's residents.
People clamored for campaign
literature and together with thumbs up signs
and hoots of excitement expressed
their heartfelt desire for an end to
the back room politics in the corner
office. New Bedford needs Matt
Morrissey was the singular message
of the evening!
On a side note, a Kalisz
visibility was held at the same time
(at the intersection of 140 and St.
Route 6) with about 10 somber people
present.
