Newsletter - Issue # 6
(Sept. 3rd, 2005)
Game On!
September
is here. We are now just 32
days from the Oct. 4
preliminary election. The
final lap of our campaign to
bring a new generation of
leadership to New Bedford
starts today.
Matt is wearing out his
shoes walking the
neighborhoods of New Bedford
to listen to the concerns of
citizens and to share his
ideas. He has knocked on
more than 2,000 doors to
date. We have signed up
hundreds of volunteers.

This is
the first major debate of
the campaign, and it is
imperative that anybody with
an interest in the future of
New Bedford attend this
event and witness first-hand
why Matt is the best choice
for mayor. Here is why Matt
is different from all the
rest:
-
Matt
represents a new
generation of leadership
whose family has lived
in New Bedford for five
generations.
-
Matt
is the only candidate
who has built his
campaign by listening to
the people who live and
work in New Bedford.
-
Matt
is the only candidate to
lay out comprehensive
action plans on
neighborhoods and city
services with additional
plans coming on
education, jobs and
public safety over the
next couple of weeks.
-
Matt
is the only candidate
who has demonstrated
innovation in both the
public and private
sector.
-
He
is the only candidate
with a track record of
creating educational
opportunity for working
class people.
-
He
is the only candidate
talking about the
necessity of inclusion
and respect for all
ideas.
Please
show your support for Matt
and his campaign for a new
New Bedford by attending the
debate, getting fully
informed, and
getting fully engaged.
